Decacorn
A decacorn is a privately held startup valued at ten billion dollars or more.
A decacorn is ten times the unicorn threshold and represents the most valuable private companies. Only a handful of Indian startups have reached decacorn valuations, typically in e-commerce, fintech and edtech, and some have since seen their valuations revised.
Like unicorn status, decacorn valuation is based on the latest private funding round and may not reflect a price achievable in a sale or IPO. The term highlights how large some private companies have grown before going public.
