Riot, Strike and Malicious Damage Cover

Riot, Strike and Malicious Damage (RSMD) cover protects property and vehicles against loss or damage caused by riots, strikes and acts of vandalism.

Commonly available as part of, or an add-on to, fire and motor own-damage policies, RSMD cover responds when property is damaged in civil disturbances, mob violence or deliberate vandalism, perils that are otherwise often excluded from basic cover.

For businesses and vehicle owners in areas prone to unrest, this cover fills an important gap. It typically sits alongside cover for terrorism (a separate add-on) and natural-catastrophe perils, allowing property owners to tailor protection against man-made as well as natural risks.
