Static vs Dynamic QR

A static QR encodes only the merchant's payment address so the payer enters the amount, while a dynamic QR is generated per transaction with the amount pre-filled.

A static QR is a fixed code (often a printed sticker) holding just the merchant's UPI ID; the customer scans it and types the amount each time. It is cheap and reusable for any value.

A dynamic QR is generated freshly for each sale, usually on a screen or printed receipt, with the exact amount embedded, so the customer only confirms and pays. This reduces input errors and speeds up checkout, common at larger retailers and billing counters.

Both route through UPI and settle to the merchant's account; the choice depends on transaction volume, value accuracy needs and the merchant's point-of-sale setup.
