Stock Screener
A stock screener is a tool that filters thousands of stocks by criteria like P/E, market cap, ROE, or growth, to shortlist candidates for analysis.
Rather than examining every listed company, a screener lets you set filters, e.g., ROE above 18%, debt-to-equity below 0.5, P/E under 25, and consistent profit growth, to surface a manageable list matching your strategy.
Screeners are the starting point of stock selection, not the end: a screen narrows the universe, after which deeper fundamental analysis is essential. Indian investors use platforms like Screener.in, Tickertape, and broker tools to run such filters quickly.
