Mahindra & Mahindra launched the XEV 9S, a 7-seater electric SUV, on 27 November 2025, built on its dedicated EV INGLO platform. The company aims to make 3 row EVs accessible to the mass market in India. Prices start at ₹19.95 lakh for the base 59 kWh variant, with top variants reaching ₹29.45 lakh, and multiple battery pack options of 59 kWh, 70 kWh, and 79 kWh. Bookings open on 14 January 2026, and deliveries are scheduled to start on 23 January 2026.
The performance of the XEV 9S is notable, with top variants producing up to 180 kW power, 380 Nm torque, and accelerating from 0–100 km/h in around 7 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 202 km/h, and Mahindra claims a real-world range of ~500 km, depending on the variant. All models support fast DC charging up to 175 kW, allowing shorter recharge times.
